		<description>Use their names frequently every time you handle them, pet them or simply visit them.  It may take awhile before they un-learn to associate their names with food, but it should happen with a little patience.  Meanwhile, wait til they approach you before putting your hand into their cage so they know it&#039;s you.
Rats learn their names quickly but it helps if they don&#039;t have names that rhyme or sound too much alike.  Our 6 rats definately know their individual names but often remind me of our cats b/c if I call 1 by name another may approach more slowly just to see what&#039;s up (in case food is involved).</description>
